The present investigation, arises as a reflection on the stagnation of the Methodist missionary work after its establishment in Peru in 1889. Therefore, it seeks to explain how the New Testament model of evangelization and the experience of the first Methodist exhorters contribute to the reactivation of evangelization in the Christian church today. It is a quantitative bibliographical approach, of a basic type, as well as an applied one whose exploratory historicaldocumentary design. With it, we want to observe and understand the development by the exhorters, which similarities had the meaning of Parakaleo, as well as what distinguished or differentiated them from the similar leaders of today. The population is the Methodist Church of Peru between the years 1889 and 1916. The results of the study led us to conclude that the model of evangelization of the church described in the New Testament is still in force and it is possible to rescue the essence of the mission and compare it with the work of the first Methodist exhorters, who without resources and little academic preparation, came to conquer with the word of God the different regions of our country.
