The pluralistic religious context of our days in Latin America, with the presence of Methodist Churches that have marked a space for more than a century in our countries, together with new Churches and religious movements that emerged from different Wesleyan expression in North, South and Central America, is considerably different from the British context of the XVIII century. In looking over the thoughts of John Wesley, two questions arise: “How do we understand our Methodist identity? Methodists today are ‘reasonable’ or ‘enthusiastic’?”
